Yes. You can create and export paper animations for free, right in your browser — no signup and no watermark.
How do I make a paper animation from a photo?
Drop in a JPG, PNG, or WebP, pick a mode (News, Cut, or Plates), tune the paper behavior, then preview and export. Your image is processed locally in the tab.
Can I animate my own photo or drawing?
Yes — that's the core of it. Use the Paper Cut or Plates mode with any image you upload, and keep the paper texture visible across the whole loop.
What is News Highlight?
Type any keyword and News Highlight prints it as the headline of a vintage newspaper page. A marker then sweeps over every mention in the columns — in, hold, and back out — as a seamless loop.
What can I do with a paper animation?
Make a vintage newspaper headline meme, a fluttering cut-out of a portrait, or a layered paper card — then export a GIF, WebM, or MP4 to share or drop into a video edit.
Is this AI animation?
No — Paper Animator applies a hand-made paper texture and motion to your image directly. No prompt, no queue: you see and control every frame before you export.
Which export formats are available?
GIF is the fallback format. WebM and MP4 appear when supported by the current browser, with transparent or green-screen backgrounds available from the editor.
Does my image leave the browser?
No. Editing and local preview happen in the current browser tab. Export encoding also runs locally in a supported browser.
Do I need an account or an app download?
No. Everything runs in the browser tab, including export encoding. Close the tab and nothing is stored.
Can I switch back to Paper Cut?
Yes. News, Cut, and Plates share the same preview, timeline, and export workspace. Your keyword and image stay in place while the animation settings change.
